"Life" is sampled in the Trailer Park Boys Soundtrack on the song "Trailer Park Life"
Its not the whole song or anything so its not credited as a song but J-Roc raps about Trailer Park life and then they sample the "do do do-do-do do" part. Its rather funny.
Its also pretty appropriate because the whole album is completly Canadian bands. I'll share it on the hub if anyone wants it.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

what to say what to say wha tto sa ywhatt osa ywha tos ay
Hey there everyone. Steve here.
Long time no talk. Hope everyone is well.
What to say what to say what to say what to say.
OLP just finished a week of writing/recording up at casa de Maida here in LA a week or so ago. Very cool. Good stuff. Good times. Recorded the bed tracks for 3 new songs, very cool very cool very cool. One song with a Neil Young-y type of guitar riff. Great chorus. Another one very fast. Jeremy playing fills that sound like they could be in a fast Russian folk dance song with those dudes doing those crazy leg kicks. Then into a fast staccato verse. Then into a total broken down slow bridge with just Raine strumming acoustic and singing. It think that we may start the song like that also. Not sure how to describe the third song. Verse with circular guitar lick and trashy, almost Beck-like beat, pre-chorus broken down to just Raine and I, big chorus with big, soaring chords. The bridge takes you to another place. Want to go play it right now.
So anyway, we are definitely not laying dormant. True that we all have side projects happening but that is good.....just expands each of our creative horizons so that we have more to bring to the band and to...........YOU!
Hoping this finds everyone well,
Steve

I was thinking something similar

It's nice to be in a place where you don't have to get in a car to do anything. Haven't seen the inside of one since the airport.
We are buzzing buzzing buzzing with ideas. Or maybe it's just the caffeine. Or alcohol. Either way, here pounding out some ideas. Duncan came in with a massive piano lick that we put down with big, When the Levee Breaks style drums. Gonna make Jeremy play on it today to give it the juice.
Not inspired when I first got here. Then bought an amp head with no name on it at a music store. Made me happy and juices flowing again. Maybe it was because the amp isn't grounded and gives you a nice shock when you touch it. Electrocution is always a good one to get your juices pumping. Or the caffeine. or the alcohol. I don't know.
Hope you are all well.

Attention those in the LA area! Steve playing w Gabriel Mann Sep 8
Hey there.
Steve here. Wanted to let everyone know that I am going to be playing with my friend Gabriel Mann at his CD release show on September 8, 2007, @ The Hotel Cafe at 9pm.
Please come out and see us!! (If you are in the greater Los Angeles area)
Gabe really has his own thing, and I think that he is a great artist. He doesn't sound like anyone else, has a unique voice, and has what so many people are missing these days....great songs!!!!!!
I played a lot of the guitars on his new CD which you should check out if you can't make it to the show. You can find out how to get a hold of it or listen to some stuff on his myspace page....just go to my page and he is one of my top friends.
Anyway, would love to see some of you at Gabe's show. Should be a bunch o fun. We're gonna play the entire CD at the show. Drinks are on Gabe!! (Well, sortakinda)

for anyone who doesn't already know... Raine's performing at the Casby's tonight and they're playing the show live on the Edge (edge.ca).
And the website says "special guests will include Jeremy Taggart from Our Lady Peace"
Also, I see on the Edge playlist today that they played 2 songs back-to-back today:
2:23PM Raine Maida - Don't Let It Bring You Down
2:14PM Raine Maida - Yellow Brick Road
"Don't Let It Bring You Down"??
