I'm glad Lang finally decided to show up.

Thier keeping the shots up but their all low percentage shots where the guys are stating staright into Mikas eyes.

We gotta drive to the net.

Just be careful not to breathe on the goalies though. The ref is treating kipp like an eggshell.

WTF was with the Holstrom penalty? Why wasn't Kipp called for a dive like Hasek was?

Onto the 3rd period.
Let's go boys!!

As much of a pro-Canuck I am Dallas would be much better travel wise.

Then again we'll meet sharks/anaheim either way.
I love the playoffs but these 9pm 10am starts are killing my perfromance at work the next morning.

Well not that I really need to be on top of my game or anything the job is really quite easy. It's just the restraint I need not to rip through the phone and strangle the dumbass on the other end to death then slash him with a goalie stick!!!

Man is it hard to watch these games.

Wings are still playing alot like they did in Calgary. Peppering the goalie with perimiter shots.

I was expecting the Sharks would do a better job of getting the puck cleared with their better defense.

Wings tried to get some transitional offense going but their cross ice passes wern't connecting letting the Sharks get back on D.

did you just call the sharks defence "better"?
and did you mean the sharks have a better d than the flames do?
because um
no
like... seriously.. no.
the flames have one of the best top 4's in the league in terms of skill, depth, age, every sense possible.. i mean.. reghyr (sp?) and phaneuf alone are gold.. throw in hammer, stuart, etc and they just get even better
what makes the sharks a better TEAM however is their crop of forwards.. i mean cheechoo and thornton (whom i hate for the record) and they added guerin to the mix too
they also have the perfect system and 2 very very capable goaltenders (not that kipper isnt capable but beyond tanguay, iggy and lombardi the flames got jack for offense.. unless you count tony "i used to play for the blackhawks and was once good 50 years ago" amonte to be good still

Now I've never played any sort of goalie position before, but I've watched my fair share of hockey since I was 10 years old.

And you know it just seems to me that most goaltenders are best at stopping the pucks when their up on their feet.

You know this way they can move back and forth, or up and down, you know all mobile like. So when pucks come at them they can block them.

So what I'm trying to get at is Haseks style of goaltending. Do other goaltenders have that whole thing where like ... you know when the puck comes at you panic and flop on your back and do snowangels?

Because I really don't think that strategy worked to well last night.

You can tell I'm a true Wings fan. Our opinions on goalies change more than the direction if the wind.
