The best hockey game around is being released on September 22nd... It's going to be awesome.

this guy just got himself some new skates

it will be weird not playing with the total lack of ankle support, the worn away heels that make my feet bleed and have resulted in big callous lumps, or where it does the same thing on my big toe to both feet
and several other things

im going to miss that

what kind did you get?
i've had the same skates (Bauer 3000) for 8 years now. I always turned down my parents when they wanted to get me new ones because my fit perfectly, but I'm starting to think its time to get a new pair.

just a pair of Vapours
i've had my old Bauer ones for probably 7 or 8 years also

i was suprised at how well the new ones i got fit because my foot is pretty wide
which is a big part of the reason i get bauer skates since thats how they fit

I like the jerseys alot, just not the logo so much. The Peters thing still cracks me up everytime I see it. I was at that game and laughed when I saw it for a good 10mins

those jerseys suck

i think they might have been stolen from some arena football league team

sure the 3rd ones are fine, since they are really just the same as the old 70's jerseys

and the logo looks like a slug fucked a lightening bolt, only i dont know where the horns came from

Just curious ...
Is there talk in the hockey world other than Columbus about the Blue Jackets being a playoff team this year?

I wouldn't be against it to see some more hockey energy in this city but I don't see it. If Nash learns to play defense that will be a plus for them. Zherdev is pretty talented but Federov is old and busted he aparantly can't take hits and that won't bode well for him with a young defensive team.

I don't think LeClaire is all that hot either.

I certainly don't see them beating Detroit to take the division.

On the subject of Detroit if Hasek undergoes some kind of ground breaking surgery replacing his groin with a series of nanoite carbon rods and pulleys then I will have some confidence in him. He can be a spectacular goaltender but jsut too risky with his recent history.

Legace deserved the No 1 spot best of luck to him in St. Louis.

personally i dont think Legacy is as good as people think

the teams in the divsion he was in with Detroit (and is still in) are terrible
Chicago, Columbus, Nashville, St. Louis

could be why no other GM picked him up and he was a free agent for so long

and i agree with the Columbus comments, i dont see them doing very much

Well we pretty much have owned them the last two years, and they were terrible last year. Plus they're the Leafs.
