My guess is that a wee bit of the rum escaped during its journey between the bottle and Jess's mouth. Although this is largely conjecture, and, to my mind, also incredibly unlikely (note that Jess's system is clearly in possession of vast quantities of the stuff, as signified by the fact that she is dead.)

It's tequila for me... anything else I'm fine with but my body cannot do tequila for some reason!

Thats the same for me. My absolute worst hangover was caused by tequila.

Me too. But the tequila didn't actually get me drunk. I don't think it's fair that you get the pain without the gain.
