Whisper’s Issue Forth After A Long Silence

A hushed trickle of emotion floats into my ears, as if from far away. In this darkness I see nothing but the faltering stars in the sky above me, flickering as if they are candles about to die out. There is no wind here to touch my skin, to move the leaves, only the cold air around me. Quietly pushing down, taking my breath away, untill I’m on the ground gasping. Again the whisper it brushes against my ear, never loud enough to understand. From time to time the stars brighten enough for me to see dim outlines, but every time they fade again, closer to going out then before. In this state, I lay. The slow laboring of breath in and out, nothing more, and nothing less. I’ll lay and pray, waiting for the light, waiting for the end of the long silence.

In it comes, rattling, banging and humming. Meaning so much more to one then some. From the slightest trickle, to thundering current. From the husky whisper, to tortured scream. Bleeding with emotion into my ears. Hairs stand on end, and a shiver runs up my spine. Ecstasy in every moment, fading the world away. I’m left in this state again.

Unspeakable emotion, eyes shut, ears ringing.
