I'm in the middle of a very in-depth and thought provoking experiment...what is the best tasting Skittle color? Right now red and purple are close - but to be honest, they all kind of taste the same at this point.
OK, I think I need to get out of the house for a while...my tongue hurts!

[Multiple exclamation marks time.] WHAT!!!
Super jealous. Not only do I love George Stroumboulopoulos, my boyfriend (and baby daddy... recent viewers will understand), but I LOVE the Hour! I'm very envious!

I haven't been able to watch lately, but I'm sure it was wonderful!
In English, we had to make a list of fifty things to do before we turned fifty. I used mine as a list of things to do before I was twenty-five-ish.
Included were:
- meet George Stroumboulopoulos
- see a taping of the Hour
- meet Raine Maida.

So you'll check one of those off your list in less than 2 months, you bought VIP tickets right? Going to a taping of the Hour and meeting George should be doable - you have a good 10 years!

I also get to check off seeing Billy Talent. Maybe I put "meet" on there.
My list was mostly stuff like take a religion class, speak at a school, do stand up comedy at least once, write a book, etc... everyone else was like, "Get married."

I miss track so much. I was a long distance runner. 800meters - 2 miles.
Definitely give it another try.

So even though I knew deep down SUNY Albany was going to reject my application for their PhD program, despite their messing up my application last year and making me wait a whole extra year, it still really really really sucks.
I'm actually feeling pretty despondent right now. I guess I just don't know where to go from here, since I would have to move two to three hours away minimum to find another school with a PhD program I could enter. I don't really know what to do now. And I'm really worried I'm going to get stuck in a mediocre job because I couldn't get into a program and pursue a career I really want, and that I would be really good at. I mean, why else would I spend four years in an undergrad program and another year and a half in a masters program, if I wasn't serious about getting a PhD?
