I got the H1N1 flu shot today, since I work at a hospital, and boy do I feel like crap!

Nauseous, tired, dizzy, sore and I have a possible fever...man I wish I didn't have to bake this cake tonight!

Ya I was definitely too young for the Naveed tour. Only 10! But they did come to Utah...so I'm sure my ten year old self was very sad and disappointed.

Oh wait, I'm pretty sure I was listening to The Beach Boys then. So maybe not. Also, Chumbawumba.

I did a music video in junior high to Tubthumpin'. It was pretty sick. The "pissing the night away" parts were the best...

Chumbawumba ftw!

I'm sooo sick. I woke up this morning feeling terrible, and sat in bed until noon. Afterwards, I watched about 12 episodes of Friends and tried to sleep again... nothing. I NEED TO GET BETTER!

^Yeah, I'm with ya. I'm the farthest thing from a germaphobe (as I'm sure you know) but I'd rather avoid an illness then get sick. Why would you not?

Plus people seem to be SUPER misinformed about vaccines, which is driving me crazy and I've had a lot of arguments with people about it.

It's a safe vaccine, it's a disease that targets young healthy people (More than half the hospitalizations for H1N1 in the US are in young people under the age of 25) so being a healthy high school or post-secondary student means you're probably of the highest risk, annnnd its something that spreads super easy.
Those three things tells me its really really stupid not to get vaccinated. Even if it is just a flu.

My mom is coming up with all sorts of remedies and sanitizes everything I touch.

She'd better not make me drink lemon water again. Or lime water. Nasty stuff.

+1
I've never had a flu shot and I've never gotten the flu.
At least nothing major.

I've been around kids who had the flu for about a week and havn't had a single symptom.

Perhaps everyone should have a bit of me inside the-- ... Hmm that came out wrong

UGH all the vaccine misinformation floating around is driving me crazy. Especially when I see articles about the resurgence of childhood illnesses that had been practically eradicated in first-world nations. I went in to get my flu shot, and I was told due to a local shortage, they're reserving the vaccine for those with the highest risk factor.

I don't think I've ever been vaccinated either, and have only gotten the flu once. Wasn't that bad either. I was pretty drugged up so I felt perfectly fine all week.

Most of my friends have had Swine by this point, and I've been around them while they have it. I'm pretty sure my immune system is a beast.
