Magically, I come out with a 96% average from my report card. :)

That's pretty much my experience. Except less than 96. What are you, a savant?
Now that I'm in University, though, it's really getting to be a problem. Apparently reading the books/texts is actually important now. And passing things in on time, too! Weird.

I'm enjoying the fact that I have to do very little to get good grades while I can. I do try very hard in English, though. I earned that 98!

I worked my ass off in grad school and still only came out with a 3.6 GPA, which is not that great. So yeah, don't get too used to it :P

University is horrible if you're a great student in high school, and an over achiever.

It still pains me anytime I get under an 85 on anything in university. I still strive for 90's, and sometimes it works...mainly in my classes in my major...but I get stuck in the 80's a lot, and even though I'm in my final year, and know that mid to high 80's are an excellent mark by university standards...it still bothers me. My first year, I just about had a break down because my marks were 20% lower than I was used to. It's quite the adjustment.

However, Shanae, you have a long time till university. Prepare yourself oh so well for that magic drop in marks.

I was at a leadership seminar today, and the group was asked if they knew what they were doing after school. Um, no? I have years until that point.

I felt special because I was underaged at that ceremony. I am too young to actually be in it, so I needed special permission to attend. :)

I pitched a fit over an A- in my last semester, because I worked so hard for a 4.0 and that A- ruined it. I also got a B in a course over the summer, and if I'd gotten a B+ I could have made it into the English honors society (Sigma Tau Delta), but it dropped my 3.52 GPA down to a 3.48, and the society wouldn't even consider me despite the fact that I had a 3.52 the semester before. And the teacher refused to change the grade. I was penalized for accepting help I didn't even ask for.

I still cry over that :P So Laurel, I totally get what you're talking about.
