Really? In elementary, our school had a lot of dances. When I got to highschool, there's only about two or three in a year, but they're always fun, despite the fact that sometimes only thirty people show up.

Good News: After a weekend of working I finally got my Prelude running.
Bad News: I was so exhausted I forgot to notice it was March 1st and for the first time in 6-7 years I forgot to pay my rent on time.
Possible Bad News: Our head HR director is visiting from corporate head quaters. His last 2 visits were to make layoffs.

There was a person who worked for my company in the CO office, and every time she visited our office someone got fired. It wasn't the purpose of her visit, but while she was there, I guess they figured it was time to clean house

My computer is refusing to turn on for longer than ten minutes at a time
I'm pretty sure it's a hardware problem too, because sometimes it turns off before windows even loads. And I don't think I'm still under warranty.
So apart from being computerless for however long it takes to fix, I'm also gonna lose all my music (including the rare stuff and videos) and any files I can't manage to transfer to a hard-drive in the space of 5-10 minutes.
LAME
(This message is coming from my work, by the way. )

that sounds like a fan problem of some assortment so you may only need to replace either the heat sink or the fan for the tower (if its a pc and not a laptop) if its a laptop then the cpu fan would need to be replaced..

Desktop or Laptop?
First thoughts are that it could possibly be a heat issue.
A fan could be stuck somewhere and the processesor is getting so hot it deices to shut down on itself rather than burn burn.
Could also be a power supply issue.
Either way you should be able to remove the hard drive and transfer the contents anywhere else needed with an external USB case.

I can see this "Burn Burn" thing being rather amusing to us.
Kickerface, sorry to hear about that crap at your work.

That sucks so much, but I'm really glad you still have a job!
