ok, so i totally read that wrong. i read your first sentence, then skimmed the second and read 'program' as 'pregnant'. then i reread it and was calm.
but holy crap...creative writing programs are notoriously hard to get into. and a huge scholarship, no less!
congrats!

that reminds me of the time when a co-worker told me she was pregnant, and my response was "oh, no!" and she was like "what? i've been trying for this for ages!" - she was a 30-something-year-old woman who had been trying for years to have a baby.
anyhow, thank you! i worked really hard at preparing that damn application - which required all kinds of academic and creative writing samples, letters of recommendation, jumping through hoops and interpretive dance to complete. i thought i was done when they phoned and told me i had given them two different birth dates. i guess they forgave me

I took the GRE this morning and didn't do so well. 1110 out of 1600. I blame it on the fact that I broke my tail bone two weeks before the exam and spent a week so messed up on pills that I couldn't focus on studying.
Blah. I hope SUNY Albany will still take me even with that low of a score and a GPA below a 3.6.

Does the school allow an explanation of circumstances? if you tell them that an accident interrupted your studying, they may place less emphasis on your GRE score . . .

I doubt it

It's not a big deal if I don't get in this year, I can't go this year anyway so if I get in I'm just going to defer my acceptance to next fall. So if I don't get in, I'll just re-take it later when I have more time to study.

took a quiz today. Got an 85 on it.
Surprising since i guessed on most of the questions.

I love when that happens. I once literally knew none of the answers and still got a 65. Some of them were wrong too.. I don't know what was up with that marker.
Hi guys!!
I haven't been around since september and now there's 1098536089 new posts for me to read. And fresh blood, too! I think last time we had youngin's here was when I was a youngin.
I really should be writing my 20% english paper right now, but me and Procrastination just get along so well. Which is probably why I'm spending so much time reading old posts right now...
