My school blocks so many websites it's silly. They blocked urban dictionary for being "tasteless" (although I get why they would block it) and they blocked lastfm and stuff. How do all of our computer techs know about lastfm? Nobody here is up on that stuff!

Yet they don't have muchmusic.com blocked. Or this, obviously.

damn straight. proxies will get you around most stuff, the only problem is that there aren't very many proxies that will allow you to use flash video based sites like youtube.com

sometimes there are shows or videos that you can't watch because your IP address is of a country that isn't where the source material is and the copyright doesn't allow you to access the video, so you'll get an error saying "this video is available to US visitors only" or something along those lines. It sucks because unless you hack the page to download the source, a proxy won't even let you watch the video!

It's all way over my head. I'll just be satisfied with playing games and not listening to music in computer class.

not to mention those proxies that allow you to use websites like that tend to slow down the connection considerably,... i mean.. my net is already slow as hell but when i used those kinds of proxies it slowed it down further.. although i did see like.. 1 second of the cbc symbol before giving up.. im fairly sure the game was half done by the time i saw that 1 second

But that one second is the best part of the game!

Hahaha. I just play games when I'm done in computer class, because otherwise teachers start asking what I'm doing and I feel uncomfortable.

Well, seeming as I know everyone in my school, except for a few of the little elementary folk, I'm pretty sure nobody else would be visiting the CM.
