Vegas is actually pretty cool. New York is too, but to be honest, if you're not going to gamble much and that's not going to use up a lot of your money, then Las Vegas is actually cheaper than NYC. I mean, you could stay somewhere away from Manhattan, but then you'd have to commute anyway and there goes some of your day... so the overall hotel thing will cost you more in NYC.
