Matt, how on earth can you make pancakes but not grilled cheese? Grilled cheese is a million times easier than pancakes!

i just need to bitch about this for a second. feel free to ignore.
so hollywood, or specifically m. night shyamalan, is making a live action movie of avatar, the last airbender, one of my favourite shows. the four main characters of the show are supposed to be asian and inuit in race. the actors cast to play said characters are all white. the entire online community is furious.
paramount seems to be ignoring it. and now the cast members are all making slights of the issue and making up facts about the show without doing their research. jesse mccartney, a pop singer cast to play the villian, mispronounces his character's name in interviews and says that the show was "explosively huge in asia and then was brought over to america". avatar is american made and aired.
it makes me want to cry to think of the massive fail this movie is already looking to be. and to think i was so excited for the prospect of more avatar.
