He played a free show here on Canada Day last year.

Thats an awesome song.
The thing with the Sam Roberts is that he recorded his album as a solo thing. In the liner notes it says he wrote all the songs and played most of the instruments on the album. So he really is a solo artist. But he has been touring with the "Sam Roberts Band" and his website is samrobertsband.com or something. I can't figure out if its a solo project or a band! I guess we'll know if its a band or not when he records his next album.

Sam Roberts played this year in Central Park for Canada Day.
As for Canadian Dream. He has yet to play it in the States. It isn't on the USA release of Born In A Flame.
The CD was released last year, but wasn't proberly promoted so they re-released it with a few extra songs a few weeks ago.
From the shows I saw him act he got a good response, but there are alot of Canadians in NYC. There are a huge amount of HIP fans here.

i can't wait for this
They have a Greatst Hits album coming out on Pearl Harbor Day; and a new album will be out in March. Potential first single is "Hollow" (pretty cool tune, too).
I saw 'em live last weekend, and they were talking about it.
