I've had to see Three Days Grace like two or three times open for other bands. Holy shit, what a terrible band. If they're ever at a concert I'm attending again, I'm purposely going late to skip them.

Went to T in the Park last weekend which was class. I got to see the Verve for the second time, the Music - who I'd been wanting to see for ages, Rage Against the Machine and R.E.M. - both great bands who I didn't expect to see any time soon, and a number of smaller bands like Stereophonics, Kings of Leon, the Subways and the Kooks.

You seen OLP on the Happiness... tour? Lucky bastard!
That was actually my second time in seeing the Phonics, I seen them in Newcastle last year, so I didn't feel too badly about leaving early to catch The Music on the other stage.

My first time seeing OLP was when they opened for the 'Phonics at Wembley Stadium back in the Happiness days. It was my first time seeing the 'Phonics too and I only knew one song but I was there for OLP! I saw them again somewhere in London a few years back too and they tend to turn up in the audience of Tragically Hip shows too.
Did you enjoy REM? I love seeing them live.

I saw the nice guys from Shinedown 2 weeks ago. Next up on my list is Nine Inch Nails in 3 weeks, and hopefully the Smashing Pumpkins the next day.

Yes and no. I enjoyed them because they're great live, but not as much as I could have, because I'm a shit fan and didn't know 90% of the stuff lol I've only got round to listening to their 80's stuff so far!

but jimmy eat world is absolutely astounding live. i only know songs off bleed american, so i figured i'd be bored...but they put on such a damn good performance, i didn't even care that i didn't know a bunch of songs.

I saw them play once and thought they were pretty mediocre in 2005. Kym saw them two separate times and thought they were bad. Weird!

Ahh, yes that would be a disadvantage live. But the 80s stuff is way better than the 90s and 00s stuff, so you still win.

hmm yeah, they were most definitely kick ass. I was actually expecting them to be good, but they still went way beyond my expectations.
