The album has its moments, like BBTS. I used to like Gravity too.

Once again, look at where we are. Back to comparing everything to Gravity.

After watching the video from .net (bridge-world on a string) I have to say that, that track seems to be pretty solid. It's one I'm really looking forward to listening on the album.

It's natural to compare new music from a band to their last release though.

I like how you could actually hear the guitars on it, verses all the other production crap.

I think that while the music might not be gravity part 2, the new album might be gravity part 2 in my mind because thats what gravity was to me: there were only like 2 songs that i really liked. the rest were meh. i think this album will have a few tracks that are good but the rest will be mediocre.

I've got a question for those of you who "used to like Gravity"... when's the last time you listened to it? There was a (very short) period of time when I disliked it simply because of reading SO much negativity about it online, it actually sort of brainwashed me into believing it was bad. Then I went to listen to it and went, "wait... this isn't bad... this is really good... I'm never letting other people's opinions get in my way ever again."

I wonder who could've possibly seen that happening.

I listened to Gravity about a month ago..and REALLY listened. Still not my favourite album but I honestly don't think it sucks like everyone else thinks it does.

Sometimes, if you take something at face value instead of trying to find something you like, you'll appreciate it more. I appreciate the fact OLP tried to take the simple route and succeeded. The album has its moments. Like when I heard "Bring Back the Sun" was about an affair (is that really true?), I was like "No way!" I always thought it was just about a marriage falling apart over small matters...maybe the album is too simple that we end up assuming it's about one thing when it could really be about another. When I did listen to BBtS again, I could kinda see where someone would get the affair idea...
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

Ok, I really know what you mean. When I bought the album, I was totally in love with it. After a while I started reading stuff about olp on the internet, and also a lot of negative opinions. which made me listen to the album less and less. But every once in a while I put in on, and I don't dislike it, I accually still really like it.
