How on earth are Blind Melon still going? I guess they have a replacement singer, but I don't think I've heard anything from them since their self titled album in 1992!

They stopped in 1995 when their singer died... I think they had 2 albums and released a third later on with leftovers and outtakes. 2 of the surviving members became producers, and last year were going to produce for some guy but instead decided to reform Blind Melon with him. So yep, 12 year break after the singer died but now an album's coming out soon.

Haha yeah. I think it's usually pretty silly for bands to continue without, say, their singer... but I like Blind Melon and wouldn't turn down seeing the original band play their songs with a new singer. Dunno if I'll follow their new stuff any, but I've heard mostly good things about it.

yeah if it's not expensive i'd go too. it's like the whole INXS revival thing too. I wouldn't give a crap about seeing them without Michael Hutchence... but if it was super cheap and in my city, i'd still probably go.
