It's on Ayn Rand's 'Atlas Shrugged'

I'm just having trouble getting my ideas on paper - might just be the lapse of time since I last wrote an essay. I've re-written the introduction 4 times so far. I'm just getting frustraited.

oooh I wanted to read that but I havent had the chance yet. Is it good?

The best advice that I can give you is that even though you probably dont like doing it, settle with what you have down and try to concentrate on just finishing the essay. Dont go back and re-write things. I find once the whole thing is written you can go back and change things and make it much more coherent after you have really hammered out what you are saying. Sometimes you need to make those long rambles to realize that you are rambling and not saying anything at all, but better to do that then kick yourself for not making it perfect the first time.

I enjoyed it. Some parts are lengthy and dull; but the philosophy in it is interesting. I liked seeing which parts I did and did not agree with. I've read other Ayn Rand, but I found this much more powerful than the Fountainhead.

I usually write the intro many times before moving on to the body. Once I have the intro, the rest writes itself, I find. So I do need to go back and re-write it a hundred times. I'm glad I did...it's way more on-topic now! You're right though, sometimes I do need to just get on with it!

Thanks for the help :)

If it weren't for the depression and WWII, I think that I would seriously consider living in the 1930s/40s.

I decided to get in shape. Since I have late classes & no money, I thought 'I'll get back into jogging'

I have never felt so humiliated as when I realized I can't even do a single lap around our quad.

I got through it, and then collapsed wheezing.

I didn't realize how bad things had gotten. It's gonna take a miracle to keep motivated :/
