i'm rambly today.

My first time skiing ever was in elementary school for gym class. All my friends were intermediate skiers... I would not have been able to spend the day with them because I was a beginner, so when I submitted my form I said I was intermediate. When we got there, the beginners went off for lessons, and they just led us (the intermediate group) to the top of the hill and I had no choice but to bite the bullet and go! OMG I thought I was going to die!

That's the best way to learn is to challenge yourself and push yourself harder. :nod:

okay, so yesterday one of my managers talked to me (cause my boss wasnt there)
and she said that our boss wants me to start being an opening manager.
i said i'll get back to them - i'll most likely do it, i just have to check out my bus schedule.

if i take it, i'll get a pretty yellow shirt, i can boss people around, i'll have the keys to the store & everything else..so it'll be a lot more convenient, and i'll probably get a raise.

basically, i'll only be opening the store on saturday & sunday since i have school during the week. we open up at 11, so i'll have to be there by 8 to prepare everything. my boss with get there at 9:30 to make sure everything's ready...i was told that it only takes about an hour and a half to open, so i'll be done everything by 9:30...& i can do whatever until 11. :P

my shifts on saturday & sunday would be from 8-6, so it's not bad. my hours now are usually 12-8..so i can't do anything in the morning, and by the time i get home it's too late to do anything..so 8-6 works out better...so, yeah. that's my news. this is really long.

yeah.
& i won't have to pay for my food anymore, so it'll save me some money.
& it would look good on a resume, me thinks.

it will definitely look good on your resume that you are being given the responsibilities of a manager. Good for you :duncan:

Green = easiest
Blue = intermediate
Black Diamond = difficult
Double Black Diamond = Expert Only

hmmm ... now that's not the same as here. I think it's Green/Blue/Red/Black. Though where I went skiing the only green run was the nursery slope. I mostly did that an a few blues. I tobogganed down a red run once and I have no idea how anyone could ski down it.
