i feel sick and don't want to go to class. on top of that, i'm panicking about where i'm going to live and work this summer, depressed about my birthday tomorrow, and stressing about the future.

When you are a girl and you cut off 4-6 inches of hair, there is a very stark reality to this. It's all fun when it happens, and then the next morning you say to yourself, "WHERE THE HELL IS MY HAIR!?"

awwww. *hugs*

I've never done that.
I decided I'm gonna keep my hair long for a while. I need to get it dyed again, though. That's gonna be expensive.

feel better! & don't worry about housing/work. You'll find a job, & if you can't find/afford anywhere to live, you're welcome to stay here.

so, revlon has this new hair highlighting kit out. you'll find it at shopper's drug mart, in this fancy cardboard displayer.
do.not.get.sucked.in.
i thought it looked absolutely wonderful.
it most definitely isn't.
the fancy brush? doesn't work at all.
i'm very not thrilled right now.
i'm going to do the worst thing possible, and try to cover it with a semi permanent hair dye. i know you're not supposed to do that, but this is....ick.
ick.ick.ick. revlon, i hate yooooou.

Nikki, you and I are opposite. I won't color my hair (unless it's pink), but I will chop it off! I sort of like it because every girl has long hair. Or so it seems.

That's not really opposite of me, Cass.

*points at her avatar* See how short? Well, it's not really that short there, but I've cut it much shorter than that in the past.
I just decided that I currently feel like having it long. *shrugs*
I'm not afraid to experiment with my hair. It's just hair.

My shortest was above the bottoms of my ear lobes. They had to shave the bottom of the back of my head at the nape of my neck. It felt neat.

My dad was always really old school and strict, and firmly believed that all boys should have very short hair and all girls should have long hair down to their butts. Which I did.
When I was in grade 7 my dad took me to the salon for a trim (rare, because usually he cut my hair, even my bangs which always turned out bad). I decided to be a bit of a rebel cuz I was mad at him over various things. While my dad waited outside on a bench, I told the stylist to cut my hair to my jawline. She asked if my dad approved, I said yes, so she did it. I remember how excited I was that I had defied my dad and how red his face turned with anger when he saw me. I was grounded for months.
And the worst part... it looked awful on me and I hated it, but I pretended I loved it just to rub it in

very true.
except the morning after i did it, it was more like, "WHERE THE HELL IS MY HAIR! oh, right, i hacked it all off yesterday. hey, i
like this airy feeling around my neck!"
anyway, this march break i'm going to dye it all brown.
(i won't be a wimp, it'll be visible this time

)
