huh. somehow i passed the 1000 post mark. i don't remember posting that much.

and i just discovered that, if you have a glass computer desk that's dusty, and if you run some sort of plastic card over it, it picks up the dust and turns it into flour-like globby thingers.

this is what i do instead of studying for syntax.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THE ANTIPASSIVE!

promote the a (trans) to the s in an intransitive...and the o of the trans sentence is demoted, and lost, and diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiies

so really, one chunk of the sentence is lost. but it isn't. i don't get it. well, i do. but...i don't.
dear god, my midterm is in half an hour, and i'm freaking out, and this is my last 'pre midterm freakout' post, even though i have one more tomorrow, but i don't carea bout that one, and dear god, you people must think i'm some sort of freak.

but the cm loves me anywayyy.

Speaking of crazy weather... it's 57°F here right now. That's 13.89°C for everyone keeping score.

I just opened my windows. I'm sitting here in my room with my windows open in February!

It's warm here...it snowed like six inches yesterday. I went out to scrape my car but didn't have gloves...needless to say when they unthawed it really really hurt. Another fun weather story...no one ever plows our parking lot, so right outside the door it's just a sheet of ice with snow over it. Well my friend couldn't get anywhere yesterday, so me and my neighbor were outside trying to push it but couldn't get a grip because of the ice. It was quite the sight.

Today it was mostly sunny - except for when i was out at lunchtime and it hailed on me :(

Last night I went dancing for the first time in 4 years. It was fun, but I ached so much afterwards that I couldn't get to sleep for hours. And while there were a few hot boys there I only got to dance with one of them :(
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

we used to live in an apartment where the landlord would clear snow before 7am, and if your car was in the lot he would make a snowpile around it so you couldn't get to it. He was so mean. He wouldn't even loan shovels so people could dig out their cars. At 6:55 every morning after snowfall you'd see men in PJ pants half asleep... wandering around outside to move their cars onto the street.
