My girlfriend is grounded until next friday. This means that she's grounded over Valentines day. She has two of my sweatshirts...I forgot to take it back from her once she got to her house...both times! Dang.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.

Yours took 2 days longer than everyone else's, I was getting a little worried.

I hope the bracelet fits ok - I figured your wrists shouldn't be any bigger than mine, but if they are let me know and I'll make you a bigger one.

At the Belle & Sebastian concert last night I randomly bumped into the girl who used to live in the room above me at uni when I was in my 3rd year and she was in her 1st. It was really great to chat with her and catch up, but it seems that EVERYONE we went to uni with is either a lawyer (one's a barrister already) or an actuary and therefore mega rich, or is doing a PhD and very intelligent - one girl's now working at NASA!

While I'm quite happy with my work, it does make me feel like I'm underachieving.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

awww Sooz *hugs*

I have the same feelings sometimes because a lot of my friends from uni are working on Bay Street or Wall Street as traders/brokers/market analysts and they make twice as much money as me. When that comes to mind I remind myself that they also work 10-12 hour days.

Anyway, we have to stop judging ourselves based on what other people are achieving, or we'll never be happy.

Easier said than done, I know. This is something I've always had a problem with and need to work on....

I get a similar feeling as well. On the rare occasion I get to visit with friends, I feel quite un-accomplished and under acheiving. I also feel emasculated. :freak:

Oh yeah, I know I couldn't do that - I'm exhausted enough doing 7.5. And I don't have to commute long distances or anything. Or do all that studying and exams that lawyers and actuaries and accountants have to do. It's just when talking to other people that i went to uni with it just doesn't sound as impressive.

The friend I met last night is currently studying law and is going into the human rights and legal aid field on a vastly reduced salary from other lawyers so yay for her.
