My parents have always been critical of me. Physically, never, they don't care, i've always been really active and I don't think they really care. I mean they would if I was super thin, or the opposite where its a health issue, but I don't think they'd be critical if I was just over/underweight. I think its terrible some parents do that to their children. Alas, many people care about how others view them.

My parents criticize me about... just basically not being as AWESOME as my younger sister(Aka, Pothead of Lantzville BC.)

I think alot of people feel pressure that they may or may not imagine. I know I do. But those are my own insecurities.

Can someone please make me not-clumsy? I banged into so many things at work tonight it's ridiculous. My knee is going to have a giant bruise on it cos I slammed it into a grey cart (big metal rack/carts we use) so hard that I had to sit down cos I couldn't stand on it right after.

oohh, your bruise will match mine! Almost my entire knee is bruised because I fell asleep on the plane last week and while I was napping, the guy in front of my put his seat back in one quick & violent movement! I was asleep and when the seat nailed me in the knee I yelled without realizing it. Holy crap did it ever hurt!

My parents are not normal parents. Building self esteem was never something they were good at. My dad says my nose is too big and my mom says I'm a disgrace to the big-breasted women in the family. They argue over which 'flaw' I should fix first. Urgh!

My dad always introduced my sister and I as "this is my beautiful daughter Carolyn and my other daughter Katherine". Yeah, that was helpful to an already insecure girl growing up.

Axtech wrote:Well, $40 per term is actually not bad for a gym membership.

I'm looking at paying $435 for a basic 1-year membership.

I would use the gym at Queen's, which I'm sure is cheaper if not included in what I've paid, but living on campus I'm basically only down there for classes. If I stay later, I'll miss the last bus on my route, and I'll have to do some transfers and it would take about an hour and 15 minutes to get home (instead of my regular half-hour bus ride).

Just so you know the Queens gym is free plus there are a tonne of classes you can do for free http://www.goldengaels.com/iss/vip-jan9-apr7.html. You maybe able to fit them in between classes. This way if you don't get to the gym at home then you can get in a class. Also that walk to the gym in the winter can be the niceset thing you can do. It relaxes your mind befor the big work out and climbing snowbanks can be good exercise too.

I know the Queen's gym is not the best in the world but it does the trick. I am just trying to encourage. I went religiously for 3 years and slowed down last year. I intent to rectify this situation...hey if you come you can try to find me and guess which OLP song is on my ipod..i always mouth the words...people think i am crazy

Off to church I go...

It's very difficult for me to avoid mouthing the words and even singing out loud along with OLP on my iPod!

I must look crazy some times on the bus. I listen to my iPod every day on the way to and from school, and sometimes I'll suddenly catch myself mouthing along to the song.

That's why I like being at the back of the bus (or, at least, far back enough that no one is behind me, and everyone in front is facing forward). Then I can mouth along and be crazy without anyone seeing! :D
