I went to see Damone open for Less Than Jake last night, and they were great. I didn't care about the other bands, but I had to stick around for the sake of street team promotion (and my friends wanted to see LTJ). I like Damone...a lot.
Tonight I'm going to see part of the snocore tour...not because I really want to, but, again, because of street teaming. It was available, and it's free, so I figure I'll go...it can't hurt me too bad. I've seen the two main bands before, and I'm still alive.
Thursday, I am going to see Motion City Soundtrack, whom I've never heard that I remember...OKGo is playing, too...again, I'm street teaming.
Saturday, I'm making a 3 hour roadtrip to LaCrosse to street team a show. Staind is the headliner, and I'm promoting Loser. It's all because I'm something like dedicated to this street team business. haha

Just about every major concert that comes here is around the $40 mark, because its so expensive to travel here. For me, that Franz/Death Cab concert would be cheap! haha.
And Motion City are wicked live. I've never seen them play but I've seen videos of live preformances and shit and they are amazing. I'm so jelous.

Motion City Soundtrack was ok, but I can't say it was really my kind of music. They had a good energy and everything, but it's not a cd I would ever buy.
Unfortunately, I only caught the last bit of okgo's set for various reasons. That bit included only a choreographed dance to their single being played over the loudspeakers. It was funny as hell, and I considered buying the cd based solely on my personal reaction, but I needed to save my money. I have $20 to last me until next Friday, and I have a 6 hour roundtrip roadtrip tomorrow.

You should pick it up eventually.

Very good album (actually, both their albums are). Lots of fun.

I actually walked into the show on their last song or two, but I went to find the person I was meeting there, so I missed those, too. By the time I went to watch, they were to the end.
oops.
