You're actually both right. We don't need another Nickelback sounding band and I was totally going to say they sounded like Theory Of A Deadman or Nickelback, but I knew someone else would so I refrained.
The sad thing is, even more so than an emo GNR, they're like an emo Nickelback... Can it get anymore lame and emo than Nickelback already? I mean has anyone seen the Photograph video? Well Hinder pulled it off... Way to make the one hit wonders list already guys.

the music video for photograph is so tragically idiotic and what's worse is their video for their newest ballady single, with that redneck fireman dude and his girlfriend. AGHHHHHH.
hinder's video reminded me of velvet revolver's video for "fall to pieces", actually. ewww.

I bought some cd's for other people and I got some for myself!
This cd's is really impressive. I dig it a lot. And I'm only on second listen. heh. Its a good combination of a lot of genres that I really like. There is just enough of a hint of metal and a hint of techno and really good high energy songs and I love it.
Also,
I also like this cd on first listen. It really hooked me in. And I thought I had drifted away from the radio alt-rock sound that I remembered them for. I'm glad that they were able to impress me.

You're suprisingly enjoyable!
Incubus - Light Grenades
However, I didn't actually buy it because of my "connections," thus not really making me a hypocrite when factoring in what I said of the album here on this board in the past. Plus... it's grown on me a bit. I might even consider it better than the last album someday.

A lot of Velvet Revolver's songs were fairly good. It's once they got into the lame slow stuff like Fall To Pieces that they lost respect.
