I saw my first show since Dec 1 on Friday...

The Life and Times with some local Milwaukee bands, Crimes of Paris and Sport of Kings. It was Sport of Kings' first show ever, and they were pretty good. The Life and Times were great. I was in awe of their drummer...who used to be in another band, but I can't recall whom. Allen Epley is the singer/guitar player for Life and Times...before them, he was in Shiner.

i only found out because my friend (who is a deathcab fanatic) got a e-mail from their website/fan email type thingamajig. they are apparently here on april 28, the venue is tba.

Also: Going alone to concerts is underrated (especially when it's within walking distance). I now know not to despair when ditched by silly friends.

I think it may depend on the venue though.

This place was campus-affiliated and I saw quite a few familiar faces.

So, the stage was in a corner, and throughout the performance they projected different wallpaper designs on to the two screens. Hee, it was awesome.

Controller.Controller played after and my batteries never came back to life, so no pictures of them either.. which is a shame.
