8O It's Asbury Park day or something. FIRST, I find (after 3 and a half years of searching, mind you) mpegs of the Green Day concert I went to in Asbury Park that was broadcast on HBO. THEN (at almost the same time) on the hub, Jason asks me randomly about Asbury Park because Tegan and Sara have a show there soon. And NOW, you ask on here?

:freak: :wtf: I'm seriously extremely weirded out. Anyway, the conversation on the hub will both prove the weirdness AND answer your question.

what gail was talking about I believe was the skate and surf fest. It has been at Asbury Park for 3 years now and is supposedly lots of fun.

Glassjaw didnt break up. Daryl is sick and he cant perform any time soon. There is posts by Manny (original member of GJ) on www.glassjaw.net if you are interested.

Burn Kate was supposed to play at Skate & Surf one year. The dude running it was a freaking moron, though, and never called them and confirmed their slot on the bill, so we didn't make the trek. Turned out they were confirmed, so I guess they just shifted the other bands spots.

As some of you may remember. Last year i was pretty pissed, when OLP's Live disc beat out IME's REAL ALBUM "The Quicksilver Meat Dream' for album of the year, due to retarded voters. (How a disc that isn't even a real album wins album of the year i'm not sure) :freak: Which was pretty disapointing because IME had a comanding lead untill rabid 15 year old girls caught wind.

But this year is truly stunning, and i would gladly see OLP's unrealsed album win instead of seeing this group of winners. http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2005/01/0307.cfm

This is what happened when you give people who don't even read Chart the right to vote in the polls.

PS a certain CMer helped OLP's campaign of victory last year, i won't give away his name but i'll say that his name begins with R and ends with B and there's an O in the middle. :P

How ironic

For all you AFI fans out there, a cover of NIN's "head like a hole" is up on their site. Not exactly new, news but its the most recent song AFI has released in a while.

That's pretty insulting to those of us who actually still like OLP and AREN'T simply "rabid 15 year old girls". Change that attitude. Mmkay, thanks.
