I'll have to try and get on the hub tonight. I set it up initially a couple months ago and got on. It works, I'm just firewalled. Any way could I get someone to share some live, demo, or rare stuff with me?

You should be able to connect to several users who are in active mode. They are a little tough to come by, but I'm always in active mode, so you should find lots of goodies there.

You might also look up instructions on port forwarding to access the hub in active mode.

http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/our ... _new_album

I found article on Rolling Stone from 2000 with Raine talking about Spiritual Machines...

"Out of all the OLP albums, he believes 1995's debut, Naveed, comes the closest to paralleling Spiritual Machines. "I hear a lot of the same energy that I hear on this record. I think musically it's a little more advanced. Naveed was pretty basic, but there a real spontaneity.""

So I'm guessing that the upcoming album will be great, but not with the sound of Naveed, since IMO, Spiritual Machines differs greatly from Naveed.

I think they have compared every album since 2000 back to Naveed.

Raine will be on hand this Thursday for the L.A Youth Mobilizing to support Obama Campaign. Read all here.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Who says today’s young adults are politically apathetic? There are a few young Angelenos who are out to prove the naysayers wrong by saying “Yes We Can.” Ray Jimenez and Two Step Productions are hosting a Los Angeles Club-style fund-raiser geared toward mobilizing the youth in California in support of the Barack Obama campaign on Thursday, October 9, 2008.

“For all of us who just turned 18-years-old (the minimum age to vote), this will be our first presidential election where we can be heard,” said Jimenez, 21, a junior at Loyola Marymount University. “Not only do we want to be heard through the voting process, we want to show the strength of the next generation of political activists.”

With virtually no political fund-raising experience or experience hosting a club event of this size, both Jimenez and Two Step Productions decided to jump right in and learn as they go.

“We asked ourselves the question, ‘How can we help the Obama campaign?’” said Jimenez. “The answer was to put together a fund-raiser and youth mobilization event that resonates with young adults our age, which means DJs, bands and a hip place to congregate.”

The “Yes We Can” fund-raising event will be held at Boardner’s in Hollywood, 1652 N. Cherokee Ave. beginning at 9 p.m. The price of the event is a contribution of $5 from 9-10 p.m. and $10 after 10 p.m. It is open to all ages. Proceeds raised will go toward the Obama campaign effort.

“Yes We Can” is sponsored by Sountrack.MTV.com, Indie 103.1, KXLU and F.A.M.E. Artists scheduled to perform include various bands, such as Vas DeFrans, Miranda Lee Richards, and Raine Maida and DJ Morgan Page, DJ Loli, Dan Oh, Gina Turner, Michael and Shark.

It's been quiet for a long time. With the single due out soon, it's fair to say this is the calm before the storm.

Since the Brampton concert appears to be definitely happening, I split the discussion of it over to one of the other forums. You can find the new thread here.

Umm. Hate to be the one to say this, but that's not irony.
