Oh oh, and more Pedestrian-related-ish news. You guys remember Michael Jerome? The awesome guy who drummed for them on their little mini-Ontario tour?
Anyway, I get tons of upcoming concert mailings in my email. So, I'm scrolling down one, and I see a picture of Better Than Ezra, and I'm like, "hey, I didn't know they had a black guy in the band... wait, he looks familiar... WAIT, that's Michael!!"
The picture was really tiny in the newsletter, so it's pretty surprising I even recognized him. Anyway, he seems to be officially a member of Better Than Ezra now, so congrats to him.

Looks like Pedestrian's going on a short hiatus:
Pedestrian is on a little break so we can write and get our heads around some other projects. We will be back with new music and some shows soon enough.

Question: Are the songs Label and Room with a View both Pedestrian originals that didn't make albums or are they covers?

They're both Pedestrian songs. There's a handful (maybe 4) other unreleased songs with live versions floating around. Not that I would know or have anything to do with some of those recordings.

Hmm... Those two and White Trash (which is awesome) are the only ones I've heard. Hopefully they are released on their site like songs like Belly Up and Garden Fool were.

"We have been working on a side project called the Desktop Rulers. Pedestrian plus our good friend Jason Orme. We will be releasing a 4 song EP in the next month. Also, as promised a long time ago...we will release a live Pedestrian show for download. See you soon. A couple sample songs up here:

I take it Pedestrian is dropping hints at something, as on 3/21 they updated their Twitter numerous times (and this is from 10:32pm to 10:37pm) with the following:
"The heart is a lonely hunter"
"The heart is deceitful above all things"
"Its time to get down"
"To the heart of the matter"
"How can you mend a broken heart?"
"Kind Hearts And Coronets"
"The early "Heart" records really sound quite good"
"Bury my heart at wounded knee"

Two new songs on the Desktop Ruler's FaceBook: "What My Baby's Got" and "See You Later Sinners".
Also, they're playing their first show at Molly Malone's, May 13th at 9pm.

It's been a while since they've released something... Hope they start working on a 3rd album once Joel gets back.

I think we'll hear more from Desktop Rulers before we hear more from Pedestrian.
