Edit: For some reason I said reading a book instead of listening to the radio broadcast. Perhaps an extra nap is needed for me.

Well, the broadcast was based on the book, wasn't it?

is that specifically queen's teacher's college or all teacher's colleges in general? because i know someone going to york that is majoring in psych, and she is planning on going to teacher's college.

Queen's specifically, though I'd suggest she check out and make sure that the college she wants to go to does accept psych majors.

This occurs to me. Queens is connected to Trent right? My sister goes to trent and is majoring in soc, with a minor in english. Can she still get into teachers college?

I just checked, and Trent is essentially the same as Queen's, with this list as their teachable courses:

Science-Biology, Science-Chemistry, Computer Science, Dramatic Arts, English, French as a Second Language, Geography, History, Mathematics, Native Studies, and Science-Physics.

I should specify that all of this applies to the secondary school program, not for teaching primary/public school.

So, after five long years of soul searching, I have finally decided on what I want to do for a career. In two to three years time, I plan on joining the EPS....a.k.a...The Edmonton Police Service.

Yeah, I was interested in medicine for a long long time but, I recently decided that I wanted to do something more than just work in a hospital for hours on end. I want to do something where I can do some good and where I can get that feeling that I accomplished something. Know what I mean?

well doctors accomplish a lot, ya know..
the whole trying to save people's lives and stuff, for example :P

True true but by being a doc, I can't taze people! :clumsy:

But basically it boils down to the education on my part.

I find it frightening that every job Johnny's been interested in either put a gun or people's lives (or both) into his hands. 8O

I thought War of the Worlds was incredibly cheesy. But the first one was too...so yeah.

I wanted to be a doctor in second grade. I still think that'd be kind of cool. But in the long run, it's too unsatisfying. All that studying and work just so I can do gross things like look at sick people. Ew.

The catch is you have to stay in the country and teach for X years. I'm not sure the exct amount of time but it's something like 4-7 years minimum.

i know a guy who did his undergrad somewhere in ontario, then he went to australia for teachers college because he couldn't get in here. he had to pay a lot for tuition though.

They won't carry it at other stores? I'm sure Best Buy will have it here. What is the date again?
