I am not a White Stripes fan at all. i did stay to see their set though last week when I was in Atlanta out of curiousity.. they were okay. Doesn;t make me a fan or anything.. they played about 90 mintues. The only thing I remember was they opened the set with Meg singing a song, adn Jack ended the set with the sam esone. I think it is on the new CD something about daughters..

No seats... GA.
My first GA Oasis show ever... and therefore the first time Noel and Liam haven't looked like little ants to me on stage.
Unfortunately... I could barely see Noel at all, thanks to a poorly placed speaker stack.

I went to the Annual Canada Day Concert in Central Park yesterday. It is free .. It was East Villiage Conspiracy or whatever they are called( I missed them). Kyle Ribko, Ron Sexsmith and Tegan and Sarah.. I am still holding out hope that maybe just one day they will get The Tea Party or sometyhing. I spoke to the guys who run it. They said it is on who ever is available and in the area.. I use to think it was lesser known acts or such.. Who knows maybe they will get OLP one year..
Anyway here is somethign you guys will find amusing. During TS set they were introducing a love song. I am not really famialr with their stuff. I know alot of people who told me to chekc them out for years now.. They went on to introduce the song as one you can make out to. Then oneof them went into a story how she saw OLP at Edgefest with a boyfriend and during one of their slower songs( OLP) people were making out. She then went on to say that her boyfriend put his arm around her and tey sort of swayed to this slow OLP song. Then she said as if OLP have slow song.s

..she then said this is one of those songs. Then said she was good friends with this guy but gets a lumpo in her throat whenever she hears the OLP song.
i am wondering what OLP song it could be. I know they played Edgefest around the Clumsy days and Clumsy is sort of slow.. The only other slower song I can think of is Thief..
I thought I share that little story with you guys. OH and the reponse OLP got was great. Yeah they are still loved here in NYC..
also the other story they told got cheers and laughs from the crowd. they said they were gald to be back in NYC/North America after a month in Europe and have large bathrooms agan with showers.. .

. I remember the first time I went over to Europe besides the food people told me about the bathrooms. I always got hotels with what is called American Bathrooms so I had a shower.. Still it was funny cause I know afew people who live Europe who just saw them.. Maybe I shouldn;t say this to them. They did say they loved the European audiences though.
Ron Sexsmith was really good. I hear dof him but never saw him before. I think I will go get some of his stuff now. I also liked T/S..
wireimage has some photos from teh concert here.

Are you sure you got that right Gail, cos Tegan and Sara are both lesbians!
And there's nothing wrong with our bathrooms here - we actually have baths you can really have a bath in as well as showers in every hotel room I've ever had. A bathroom with either no bath or a teeny tiny bath is much worse.
