I've heard a lot of good things about the film, and I wish I was in TO during the film festival so I could have seen it. Apparently after screening the film, there was a Q&A session where people affected by mood disorders stood up and shared what it meant to them.

From Chartattack

PRETTY BROKEN (Shortcuts Canada)
Directed by: Cline Mayo
Starring: Chantal Kreviazuk

Rating: 3/5

This 11-minute short film isn't a groundbreaking work on mental illness. It doesn't make any statements on the subject nor offer any radical new insights. Sitting alone in a stark, clinical room, Patient #48273 (Kreviazuk) sits and talks about her life. She laughs, she cries, she rants and she ponders her place in society. It's been done before, but that doesn't mean that this isn't a good film. Pretty Broken doesn't succeed because of its message; it succeeds because of the performance that delivers it. Inhabiting her role without a shred of self-consciousness, Kreviazuk brings a very raw and emotional edge to the piece. Thanks to her portrayal of Patient #48273, she turns Pretty Broken into a desperate, engaging and ultimately human portrait of a mood disorder.—Sarah Kurchak

i forgot to post a million years ago, she actually wrote up an article about her new album and the TIFF film, in the globe and mail, about a week ago. the article was ... painful to read. it resembled one of her myspace blogs.

If you buy hair colour, you can go to Walmart and get Garnier Nutrisse with a 3-song CD sampler. Tracks include Blue, Time and All I Can Do. I think this is only available in major cities in Canada.

I really like the picture they used for the album art. Its simple... she stands out because shes wearing black and plus her hair is dark. and how the background is out of focus. they did a good job with that. Simple is usually nice.

Thanks for sharing!

Some new Chantal pics. These are from the August Bravo taping I was at, but we weren't allowed to take pictures (because they were filming) so it's nice to see some pics.

Haha, that looks like she was on SNL.
Cool pics. Hopefully you'll get to see it when it airs (if it hasn't already)

unfortunately you probably will... the camera was in our face every time a song ended and we had to clap and smile like idiots. They clip together all the crowd shots and use them throughout the show. And it was kind of awkward because of the strange mix of the crowd. I'm sure I'll be mortified if/when I see myself...
