Leafs should be solid this year without having much of a chance to get anywhere deep in the playoffs. Instead of playing role players like Kilger, Wilm and Perrort, Quinn should use this time to develop the shit out of his rookies so that they are given a chance to grow in the big leagues. Otherwise let 'em learn with the Marlies so we can learn who is disposable for next year.

I'm rooting for San Jose. They are young, have lots of Canadian talent and were amazing before the lockout. Hope the rule changes benefits them.

Canucks, anyone? They just signed Anson Carter. They WILL tear it up this year, and I am pumped.

Canucks, Penguins, Flyers, and Sens will be the teams to beat this year I think.

I don't know... I'm a fan of Anson Carter cause he is a Scarborough boy and even played juniors at the rink behind my house. He is somewhat over rated though. But for a million a year... I'd pick him up. 3.5 for AlMo maybe alittle too steep. If he is 100% then amazing, but if not... it depends. New Jersey is financially messed now. Even if Scott Stevens doesn't re-sign, they are over the 39 Milllion cap. What are they up to...

I'm glad the nucks signed Carter
The canucks are going to do well this year, or so it looks. May I remind everyone that sometimes the canucks have had AWESOME rosters and lineups, and still never managed to put it all together. Hopefully it can be changed this year.

the Flyers are not going to be as good as people think

Forsberg is as injury prone as anyone out their

Chris Therien doesnt have much physical presence for a guy his size

Derian Hatcher, i still dont think this guy can even skate and all he does is take stupid penalties

Mike Rathje is so damn slow its rediclous

i like the flyers cause of all their young guys.
The pens had an incredible offseason, but i dont know if they'll be an elite team just yet
Ottawa should be as good as alway and i like the bolts again if they can get St. Louis signed.

rathje will be good when paired with a faster d-man like johnsson or pitkanen

they will get St Louis if he plays for nothing
now that they gave all their money to Lecavalier
and whos their goalie, Sean Burke. Not exactly the player he used to be

st. louis will probably sign a 1 year tender and go unrestricted next year
if not the bolts have no chance in hell at keeping richards

i still think one of them is going to be gone this year

either way, if im wrong it just means we'll have to wait a year one

even if they do have Richards and St Lous for this season i dont think Tampa will do too much without their goalie

i agree
richards will be there this year and for vincent's future happiness and long term signability beyond his contract they'd better keep him

as for st. louis
thats a tough one
