As I've already said, I'm damn impressed with the songs. From what I have heard from 'Angels Losing Sleep', it may be one of their coolest songs in a while. 'Will the Future Blame Us' is also a really cool song- does anyone else hear U2 in the beginning of that song?? It sounds a lot like U2- 'Walk On' to be specific! Also, 'Will the Future Blame Us' sounds like it could be a single. But I'm not trying to start anything. :P

After giving them a few listens I really like what they have done do far. It may not be incredibly original but its fun and pumped up.

Angels Losing Sleep, Don't Stop, World on a String, Picture, and Will the Future Blame Us are solid tracks........hope they make the album.

Best Day and Wipe should be cut. They're nice to have, but aren't what I expected.....especially Wipe which has lost much of its beauty...and Best Day was better in the holiday greeting as a mellow but meaningful song.

Matt's 2 cents:

I have to agree with Robbo, I like Angels Losing Sleep a lot. It is by far my favorite of the clips. I am interested to hear the final product at clear, full quality. I think I am going to be very satisfied. There is no need to flame at Jim because he doesn't like the new stuff. Jim has his own set of expectations for what he wants to hear. OLP hasn't met that expectation, Jim posted his disappointment. No need to beat on him. From the responsible fan community perspective, all I ask you all to do is if you decide to share these songs, please share amongst private channels, and do not post the songs on websites for download. I had messaged Stace 2 nights ago about spreading blank tracks with the song names and actual track times onto p2p networks to help safeguard against an album leak. Please share these tracks responsibly. Any links to outside file hosting sites will be deleted. That's all I have. Enjoy, or not enjoy :P :D

i must say i am very dissappointed with the tracks as a whole.....Don't Stop is really the only one i can say i really like....i used to love WTSOYF when they played it on the last tour but i dont like how it sounds now....i think the 3 yrs of hype leading up to this album has been a big let down for me now that i have heard some of this stuff....I like the Fair Ground stuff much better....

Is there something good, something more?

I've seen a couple people comment like that, but I have to say I kinda like it the way it is now. It's kinda hard to tell though without hearing the whole song. It pisses me off they cut it off right at the falsetto.

I'm really liking the new stuff, definitely a sound they've never had before. I guess the 'off the floor' thing got canned, cause they sure don't sound that way.

After reviewing all the songs, ignoring what we heard of the previously, I think they all turned out okay.
In fact, to me the album sounds a bit like Happiness, without the edge or the fantastic lyrics and a bit more pop thrown in.

Good stuff.

Nothing amazing. But good.

Seriously though. What happened to Wipe That Smile Off Your Face?

It reminds me of those synthed songs Raine and Chantal did.

I still like it.

It sounds magical in a weird sort of way. I kind of like the akwardness of it.

It gives off a vibe of trying too hard to sound like a depressing song, but when I head the song live it wasn't a depressing song...it was just a good song. Most of the song is the same actually. Other then the annoying synth.

I totally agree!

The good news is, we shouldn't have to expect to hear that synth live, as long as someone slaps Duncan around and tells him to play bass dammit.

Steve will be too busy with his guitarness to play it, and Raine will be too busy molesting Steve to play it.

And baby Rowan and the Duncan twins can't reach far enough to play keyboards yet.
