matthew good and the trews are playing the same day here.

I was making plans on seeing The Trews in Edmonton on Nov 21...then find out that is the date Matthew Good is in Winnipeg. I need to go to Edmonton in November and planned around this, but now if I go to Edmonton early for Matthew Good (on Nov 14) I won't make it to Winnipeg for The Trews (on Nov 18)...

The Saskatchewan dates fall in between (I believe on Nov 19th?) but it doesn't work out well for me!

Frustrating!

I just listened to all of Muse's The Resistance. Very "meh," but with moments of greatness.

-Uprising is fucking sick. Great lead single.

-Resistance has a really cool intro and is kind of catchy, but isn't quite there throughout.

-Undisclosed Desires isn't good. It sounds like a Timbaland produced pop-rock song.

-United States of Eurasia (+ Collateral Damage) might be an obvious Queen rip-off, but it's an amazing song nonetheless, from the soft piano beginning to the Middle-Eastern sounding guitar to the outro.

-Guiding Light isn't terrible but it's not really memorable at all.

-Unnatural Selection is a great song. The intro is really cool and the song has good energy throughout.

-MK Ultra isn't really all there... It's not bad by any means, but it feels like there could have been more to it. Just not my kind of song.

-I Belong to You (+Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix) is kind of hit and miss. The miss is the verses, but the hit is the chorus and just about every other part of the song. But those damn verses...

-Exogenesis (all three parts) is phenomonal. Unquestionabley near if not at the top of anything they've ever done... Or will do.
