I downloaded DVD rips of the two ReBoot movies, Daemon Rising and My Two Bobs. However, there's an audio problem: I forget the exact technical explanation, but when they were converting the movies for DVD release, the audio got screwed up so the pitch is too low. What would be the best way to rip the audio, mess around with it (I'd use Audacity to raise the pitch), and stick it back in the video?

Possibly. It's all going to depend on what file formats you are working with.

If you have Adobe Audition, Premiere, or Sony Vegas you should be able to drag and drop the video into the program and extract the audio. From that point you can save it as a wav file and adjust the audio however you like. Unfortunately, you'll have to re-encode the video with the new audio, causing some quality loss to the picture.

You can either track down dBpoweramp or you can go to Etree.org and download shntool and use it to decompress the shn file to a wav file. From there you'll need to download FLAC frontend and use it to compress the wav files into flac. What kind of problems are you having with shn? If you can't forward through songs, it's a problem when the file was encoded. Earlier versions of shn didn't allow seeking in songs for some weird reason.

Hey Boss, I know must've asked you this dozens of times, but what program(s) do you use to make dvds? I got a few seasons of south park on my notebook and wanna make a movie!

To encode the movies to DVD ready files, use TMPGenc, and to create the DVD's you might try TMPGenc DVD Author. Both should be user friendly enough for you, and the help files have pictures just in case the technical jargon goes over your head.

QUESTION, PEOPLES:

Can you download java-based dinky ass games to your computer and then rip them to your cell phone via data cable?

If so, where do I find such games?

I dunno, I'm more partial to companies that are cutting edge. Like Cutco, Slashcom or Interslice.
