yeah, but some places give sports franchises breaks becuase they generate revenue for the city they are in.

living expenses != taxes that a hockey team must pay

or something *ponders*

the canadiens lost money last year even with the playoff gate revenues thanks to the taxes they pay the city of Montreal (they pay some 8 annually in taxes)

also:

ziggy palfy is now a pen
the pens are gonna have one of the best lineups top to bottom offensively in the NHL
especially if they can sign evgeni malkin.
i mean.. palfy + crosby + mario?!

pitt should look long and hard at how much they want to keep that team because mario is pulling out all the stops and if they dont get the kinda deal they want they'll move for sure
go fuck yourself.

Can't believe Roenick left for La. I am more then surprised. :wtf:

Keeping Kovalev is huge for the Habs. He gives them another legit scoring threat with Koivu. Plus, I've been told that they are pushing hard for either Kariya or Selanne.

As for Roenick, he's going to love the LA spotlight. You can't blame Clarke for trading him though. If you get a chance to sign Peter Forsberg you gotta take it.

Keeping Kovalev is a huge thing for the team indeed.

You're definitly right about Forsberg as well, the chance to have such a player in your team is very rare, gotta grab it when it pass.

Ozzie signs back on with the wings for $900,000
Wings now have plenty room left int he cap to sign on Datsuyk and Zetterberg

That wouldn't had been th case if we signed on Khabi

I also saw Bertuzzi got re-instated with the Canucks.

His suspension was based purely on the injury and not that action. Sucker punches in the back of the gead happen every game in the corners where it's nearly impossible to spot because they either happen so quickly or guys are smart enough to disguise them.

I think based on the roster surrounding Crosby he'll at least finish in the top 15 in NHL scoring. I'd say at least 75 points.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

i would like to see Crosby do well, but i just want to see Mario play again, he is the man.
greatest of all time, forget Gretzky

i still remember the night he came back and everyone said he would be too old and slow and that the game had passed him by
then he had 76PTS in 43 games and finished at +15

I'm so tired of the Lindros-bashing. Even if the guy lasts us until December...it's still worth the 1.5 Million. The guy is a powerhouse, he can score, he can hit, he can get the team fired up. He's made it to the Stanley Cup Finals, represented Team Canada. Looking at his credentials, this guy is a steal. He's alos had a year to recuperate. Awesome pick-up. I think he'll be paired up with Renberg and Domi.

i think they should try moving Lindros to the wing or something
just too keep him from cutting through center with his head down all the time

O'neill Sundin ?

Lindros Allison Tucker

Domi Stajan Kilger

Antropov Wilm Ponikarovsky

OR

Lindros Sundin O'neill

_______ Allison Tucker

Domi Stajan Kilger

Antropov Wilm Ponikarovsky

either way they still need to sign one more good winger

and if Lindros is on a line with Allison and Tucker,
as soon as anyone hits him just beat the shit out of them and send a message, pretty much like with Edmonton used to do with Gretzky
