Do a google search and download "CCleaner" (crap cleaner). It deletes all those temp files and other junk saved by daily net surfing and whatnot, which can build up and slow down your computer.

You know, without the Cm and Hub to bitch about my computer problems I'm pretty sure I would have thrown it out the window by now.
I also got rid of a couple of retardedly old programs that no one ever uses anymore. Like ICQ and Kazaa, and Spybot that doesn't work on this computer. It just freezes and shuts down. I think I opened up about a gig of space on my harddrive.
You know, without the Cm and Hub to bitch about my computer problems I'm pretty sure I would have thrown it out the window by now.

My brother was going through our computer, deleting old stuff, and turns out FOOD FORCE!!was taking up the most space of any program we have.

Plus, this thing gets more, I think.
and it's easy to use. it embeds itself in your recycle bin menu. Right click on recycle bin -> "Run CCleaner" and it does its thing without loading the program and popping up a new window.

In my windows explorer some of my files suddenly have their file names in blue while others are still in black. Does anyone know why/how this might be happening?

oh, I had that before. It's something like the files are encrypted or compressed or to save space (windows does this when you don't use files for a while)
My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View, then untick "Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in color"

Help! I've been listening to music at work a lot recently cos it helps keep me awake and not crying and stuff. I have it pretty low volume so I can still hear what else is going on around me - however, when I have reminders in Outlook that pop up they make a REALLY loud pinging sound and make me jump - a lot! And I can't work out how to stop them

I had the same problem - loud Outlook pings. I have my PC volume turned way down now, but my media player volume cranked. The combination of the two gives me low music and very quiet pings from Outlook.
Or you can turn off the Outlook ping - Tools -> Options -> Preferences -> Email Options -> Advanced Email Options. Then uncheck the "play a sound" box.

i've been looking around the internet for this, but i'm pretty much computer illiterate when it comes to nitpicky things... does anyone know how to convert .m4a files to .mp3? my computer won't let me burn cds with .m4a's, and i'm trying to make mixed cds.
