Curiosa was verrrry good.

head automatica - one of my favorites from the whole day. good live show, even if it was only a couple of songs. definitely glad i got there at 4 to see them play. i've seen them twice opening for bands, so i'm excited when they decide to do their own tour so i can see them do their own show, not just opening for someone.

auf der maur - surprisingly good. her voice was a little sketchy at points, but altogether very very strong show. at the end of her set she threw her pick into the crowd and one came near me and i was looking to see where it had landed. well, as i was walking away from the stage i put my hands in my pockets and in my one pocket i felt something weird and pulled out her pick. so yeah, that was kind of cool.

the rapture - good band, but definitely not meant for an outdoor amphitheatre. i would like to see them in a small venue, but it really didn't translate well in a gigantic setting.

interpol - as always, they were absolutely amazing. the new songs that i finally got to hear live sounded really well. i absolutely love the singers voice live, it's so strong.

i wanted to see muse, but i didn't want to have to rush back to the main stage to see interpol, plus i was interested in seeing the rapture so that was a little dissapointing. i also heard the cooper temple clause from afar because i was sitting under an umbrella due to the rain, but it sounded as if i would have been bored standing there anyway, although i did enjoy some of their stuff.

the cure - obviously they were amazing there's really not a whole lot i can say about them except for the fact that it was soooooo fucking cold outside that i was numb and could see my breathe. it was painful.

well went to half of warped yesterday .. we didn't even leave my city until nearly 4:30 and the traffic was shit so we didn't get there until 6:30. got there in time to see Coheed and Cambria .. then I booted to the stage next door to watch Good Charlotte .. then I booted it past Thursday (meh) and caught Fall Out Boy .. yellowcard played at 1:30 which was a piss me off .. considering they're supposed to be one of the 'headlining' bands they played an hour after doors opened? and Rufio played later in the afternoon along with Story of the Year. I got to catch 3 out of the 5 bands I wanted to see which is cool I guess. I missed the main band I wanted to see by about 6 hours :(

I also hung out by myself the entire time and didn't mind a bit..
well i probably would have minded if i knew what was going on....

Fall Out Boy were amazing. They're crazy on stage and had so much fun. They were playing one of the smaller stages so a nice small crowd, I got some kick ass pictures. I wanted to go and see them in their tent after but I had to meet up (or try to meet up) with who i came with.

Coheed and Cambria were amazing as well. The mosh pit was insane though and I stayed away from that since I didn't want to die. You couldn't see much of Claudio with that goddamn hair but he rocked :) These people who go up to random guys and asked to be surfed are fuckin' brave because they don't give you a gentle toss, they fuckin' throw you flying and then giggle when nobody caught them. I hate concert people.

Good Charlotte (because i'm sure you all care) put on a good show considering they had bottles thrown at their heads every 5 seconds. I mean, with at least 4 other bands playing throughout the park at the time .. why the fuck would you stand there and watch a band play when you don't like them, are just going to throw things at them and give them the finger. Good Charlotte laughed it up at them .. Joel even came out to the crowd to see if people could hit him better. At the end he asked if the people who liked good charlotte had a good time .. then the people who don't like good charlotte had a good time .. so of course everybody cheered for both sides and then Joel was like "see as long as we all had a good time that's all that matters."

They're asked to play at Warped every year .. if you don't like them take your barbaric sells over to the beer tent or to watch one of the other bands, don't ruin it for other people and try to bring the band down .. they were laughing at you the whole time.

Oh and if you don't have tickets and you're arriving at the show like 6 hours into it, don't buy tickets .. they didn't even check our tickets. It was okay for me and my friend since I had pre-ordered them ages ago in March so I paid $20 less then everyone else. But the 3 others that came with us paid $50 each for theirs the day of the show and nobody cared to look at their tickets so it was a waste

I saw Dogs Die In Hot Cars last night and they were kind of disappointing. The albums great, and they could have played a venue at least twice the size of the one they did (which was about 200 people). They were very average and the crowd didn't help by being only as responsive as they were to the suppotr bands for the most part. Also, I'm sure they only played for half an hour which is a bad thing in my book. Even if you only have one 40 minute album you should be able to stretch a show to an hour by extending songs or doing covers or new or old songs. And missing out songs from that album is not good (especially when it's one of Sooz's favourites).

So in conclusion - go and buy the album cos it's great, but don't bother seeing them live.

There are pretty good shows coming up here in Sept.

I want to see Siouxie. She is playing 3 nights with the Creatures at BB Kings. The Fashion Cares Show at Radio City Music Hall. I know Avril and Hoobastank are there, plus many more.. I just read the HIP are playing NYC in Sept. Franz Ferdinand is playing Sept and Oct at Roseland. I need to try to go to these shows. Not buying any tickets till day of. Got to stay on budget now.

also Alan. Sujfan is tomorrow. I will try to go on your advice of seeing him.

REM are great live. If it's all about the music and not about "people you know" you should definitely go.

I saw the Pixies again tonight and they were soooooooo good. Even better than last time I saw them. They were so much more relaxed and happier and were joking with each other and smiling and talked to the crowd which they didn't do last time. And Kym looked gorgeous. Last time she was fat and frumpy looking and just in a black t-shirt and trousers. But now she's lost weight, had her hair cut short and was wearing makeup and much nicer clothes.

Yay
