So then I propose that our next clip should definitely be Will Someday Change...

OLP ?
1. FTGF? - ?
2. Weightless - ?
3. Window Seat - redo gtr ?
4. If This Is It - rethink ?
5. Rabbit - needs edge
6. The Wolf -
7. Find Our Way - gtrs
8. Grocery List - drums/bass
9. As Fast As You Can
This list is probably from around October/November. Can't quite tell if the first one is FTGF (Fight the Good Fight) but everything else aside from that and Grocery List is on the album. Maybe they had these 8 songs, then they wrote Allowance, and had their 9 songs for the album. Reworked a couple (The Wolf and Grocery List), and added in Mettle. Perhaps.
Maybe Matt could confirm if they're the same -- this is the song we know as Tales from a Grocery List: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtUB2kpicDw
Nope. That's not it. "Will Someday Change" is slower, subtle guitar, piano, and Raine. Really digging it. I found "The Wolf" performance from New York on YouTube... Wow. What a difference from what it has become in "Fire In The Hen House."

Meh, oh well. I was never that crazy about Tales from a Grocery List to begin with tbh.

So we can confirm then that Grocery List isn't Somday Change...does that mean it was cut competely? The only other option is that it could be Mettle. That's really disappointing if it's gone completely now, because personally that clip from the live stream was one of the things I was most excited about hearing.

I really love Grocery List too, especially the chorus which was just epic. I really hope we get to hear some sort of extra demo of it eventually... I loved the beat in that song, it sounded like a good summer song. Raine's vocals in the chorus definitely sounded more old school than Heavyweight's do.

todddowney wrote:^Interesting. They seem to have kept some elements musically, but I'm guessing lyrically and structurally it's totally different. A few people here really enjoyed the chorus from the wolf. I'm guessing that's gone. Does henhouse have a dynamic chorus or is a much more subdued track, now?
I would consider the chorus in Hen House to be dynamic. It's great. It's today's favorite. It's definitely not subdued. Everybody will be happy with it, I think.

Window seat seat sounds greta! I cant wait to hear mettle, as fast as you can, and will someday change and hear how far if this it changed! exciting times here, this is shaping up to be their best album in years...i know im jumping the gun just saying this from clips but these clips are lightyears away from burn burn

Re: General OLP News
As much as I complain about many decisions OLP make, I do believe Curve will be much stronger than Burn Burn, and I'm guessing HIPT as well. I still think Raine's singing is no good compared to the first 5 albums, but musically it sounds a bit different than HIPT and Burn Burn. Hopefully once the full tracks are out it will go up another notch. I can't see it exceeding any of the original 4 albums, but it might just be better than the past 3.

Re: General OLP News
Great interview just posted with Alex Scott from 95.1/100.7 The Rock based out of Windsor-Chatham...
A lot of what we have already heard but he did mention one interesting tidbit... "We're trying to get about 45 or 50 songs up and ready to interchange so it's not the same set every night..."
Holy shit... 45 or 50???
Even if they only end up playing 30-35 different songs throughout the tour, it's definitely a win for OLP fans!

Re: General OLP News
Nice! I was expecting 35 - 40... which might not be far off the mark if they're trying for 10 more than that.

I was thinking the same thing. I think he's been distracted. You know what that means... I gotta go punch him in the face.
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

there is a pre-sle on Wed from fanclub, live nation and AMEX.. I want to go. Have to see cause flights are between $1100-$1200. Unless I cash in some miles( which I have).

I think they've only played Italy once (Milan in 2003, opening for Avril Lavigne) -- but maybe they'll make it there this time, or at least southern Germany or France. Hope you get to see them! You should make a holiday of it and try to see more than 1 show if you're able to.

I wonder if this will be a part of a full European tour, or if they're just going to play a few of the major cities like London, Paris, Berlin to test out the market or generate some momentum, and then come back through more extensively a bit later? Seems like lots of bands do that.

Re: General OLP News
If anyone does go to the London show, they'll have to be some sort of CM meetup. Would be great to say hello to some OLP fans face to face.
