Johnathan if you have ADD you probably would have known by now .. it's not something that you can ignore for 20 years and then all of a sudden develop. Did your teachers ever say anything about that in school? Especially elementary school? My best friend in college has ADD and it's kinda obvious ...

They would have said something to your parents I'm sure .. ADD kids in school can be very hard to teach for a lot of reasons

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

ya those symptoms would be pointed out early. I don't think it's possible for every teacher, and your parents to miss it. Usually ADD (or ADHD) causes lower grades in younger students, which usually results in meetings between the teachers and parents. This would be followed by some sort of assessment (I can't remember exactly what it is, but my brother, and a couple of friends when I was little had to get tested for it) then depending on the degree of ADD you might need medication.
It doesn't sound like you have that though, cause you're able to play guitar for long periods of time and not get restless or anything like that. I'm sure there's other things too.
I guess if you're worried about it though you might as well get it checked out. At least then if there is something wrong there's a chance of finding a solution.

My brother is the hugest ADD/ADHD kid ever... He's been on ritalin for like 8 or 9 years now. I can't cope with the kid if he doesn't take it. Wait....I never can. Never mind.
They thought I had ADD for awhile. Probably still do. They only made me take ritalin once, in grade 7, but I was fairly rebelious, and refused after the first couple weeks or so. I didn't care if it worked or not, but I knew some stuff most kids didn't at my age, and didn't want to be sucked into a society that beleives all its problems can be cured with drugs. Being 12, I didn't know how to say that too well, so it basically came out as "I don't WANT to!"

wow a freshman psych major and already making diagnoses

first thing they tell you to do in abnormal psych is not diagnose or suggest diagnoses to people.
old school CM'er 4 Life
well actually that's from what I, or my mom has been told about ADD. There are some really easy to see signs. People with ADD can't sit stil long enough to play an instrument, and even if they did sit still long enough they wouldn't be able to play anything cause they wouldn't be able to stick to a song.
Go to any grade 2 class and you'll be able to point out an ADHD or ADD child. Its quite simple.
And I would like to thank you Rob for jumping on the "bash Jim" bandwagon. The more the merrier I guess right? Anyone else wanna take a jab? come on! it's fun! you know you want to!

Well, if you weren't such a God awful asshole, we all wouldn't hate you! It's not some sudden epidemic of people not liking you buddy, it's been this way for a long time, just no one spoke out and just waited for you to stop being condescening, and it never stops, so yeah, fuck off.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
I dunno what i'm more pissed about, the fact that i might have failed my bio test, or the fact that i might not have aced my accounting test.
Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.
Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown

Everyone hates me eh?
in the last week 3 people have said negative things towards me. That's not very many considering how many people are on this board. In fact, I've had a couple people send me personal messages that said that they agreed with what I said in Neil's joke thread. The only reason they didn't stand up for me was cause they don't want to be harassed in other threads. Even then I'd like to think the positives cancel out the negatives.
I haven't been an ass to anyone excpet for those who have been one to me. So far that list contains you really, and even then I only act like an ass towards you when you act like one towards me or others who don't want to stand up for themselves. I've even made honest attempts to make amends with you but to no avail.
The CM is supposed to be a friendly community and at one point it was, and really it was like that at a time when I was making more posts a day than I do now, so to say that I'm spurring the hatred on the board seems rather odd to say.
I would prefer that this feud ended. I'm not leaving anytime soon, and neither will you, so what's the point in making this place hostile for everyone? Personally, I don't see a point.
