I went to the most amazing concert last night for a local band named 'portal'. It was my fourth time seeing them and they are always amazing, but tonight was a special evening because it was blair's (<- the most incredible drummer i've ever seen, seriously, no one I can think of except maybe the guy from tool have anything on him) last show before furthering his music education in Texas. So since it was his last night they gave him a 10 minute solo towards the end of the set, and he just did stuff that totally blew my mind, I really wouldn't even know how to begin describing it. I was there with the guys from my band and my drummer said that he now want to burn his set. Anyway on top of the solo . . . I had noticed on their setlist on stage, they had 'tool' written right at the end. This didn't come as much of a surprise since I had heard them cover 'stinkfist' before and thus expected that song. However, when they got to the end of their set, the singer just said, 'maybe some of you know this song' and started the breathing thing at the beginning of . . . 'AENEMA'. I was just like 'holy fucking shit, they're covering Aenema'. I suppose that if you know this song it is quite an amazing feat to be able to play this. I was just floored, they played Aenema, one of the most impossible song, perhabs my favourite song of all time, absolutely flawlessly! It's just so sad that Blair's quitting. They do have a new drummer lined up, though I hear he's not as good as Blair, but then who is.

i went to the Justified & Stripped tour last night in Toronto, with Black Eyed Peas opening.

BEP were really surprisingly good, upbeat and got the place going. Justin didn't come out for "where is the love" though, haha.

CHristina Aguilera was FABULOUS. Her singing voice was fantastic, and the show was amazing. She was the best act of the night, in my opinion.

Next was justin. He was just eye candy... lol. he's soooo hot. and he can dance like a mofo, that's for sure.

i am confused. did mest play or not? they were supposed to play at 7, but simple plan played instead. some people were saying they played already and some other people were saying that tony hurt his back or something and couldn't play.

i was in minnesota
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.
