In my 19 seasons as a Buffalo Sabres fan, this is easily their worst.... :/

It's been increasingly difficult for me to get into following the Wings the past few years.
I spend so much time / energy into the Tigers only to be devastated, betrayed, angry etc etc.

Takes me time to go through the ring of emotions.

I did have a LOL moment seeing the Blue Jackets give up a 4-0 leave going into the 3rd period a few nights ago.

At the risk of sounding like a bandwagoner: See you in the playoffs!

as of right now the deadthings are going to be hard pressed to make the playoffs... its going to be rather tight unless they get their shit together in a hurry.

Which they have been known for doing the past few years.

howard got hurt. no lidstrom, a relatively aging forward core that is mostly going to be at the olympics in dats, zett and alfie. theyre going to need to pull a rabbits foot out of their collective asses or hope all 6 (!!!) teams currently and legitimately chasing them all slow down...
somewhat big if but if the isles get a legit goalie from someone (ryan miller, cam ward, jaro halak, etc) and with that offensive fire power? look out. Last team in the league i'd want chasing my team or face in the playoffs even as an 8th seed.
the sens will eventually go back to playing lehner instead of anderson and they will get better once doing so.
the devils should find a decent enough forward to add that will help them because lou lamarello (sp?) does that. always. every single time. somehow.
the jackets are a detroit fans favorite whipping team and all that shit but #lumbus is good. they have a lot of young assets, they have a good core and they have offensively gifted players. they need more d and they could use another forward or so but theyre getting better and the 6 game win streak is the beginning for that team.
that leaves washington and carolina. the caps have enough fire power to beat most teams in the nhl. once they get going again offensively they can easily walk through most of the league and not really have to care about the defensive side of things. they'll heat up and when they do... look out.
as for carolina. they have a bongo player. also as far as i remember no one will be at the olympics so they'll be well rested. big big big plus. hell im scared about the habs and the olympics with 8 guys representing their countries. price/subban/pacioretty/markov/plekanek get hurt and its mostly game over for them (beyond those 5 they have 3 others).

Miller is the only thing the Sabres have going for them - please don't talk about him leaving my team!

patience young grasshopper. he's as good as gone. the sabres will be better off for it in the long run. trust me.
also the best thing the sabres have isnt moulson/miller/ott, its ristolainen/zadorov/grigorenko/girgensons and whomever they get this year (sam bennett/reinhart + the isle's first rounder + youngster/pick they get for moulson/miller/etc). theyre going to be set in a very big way down the road in a hurry. theyre the opposite of the leafs/habs when it comes to building (mind you habs have had a young core to build around and no vets of inherent value to dump to accelerate the build like the sabres do. the leafs just seem to like mediocrity and have mastered it. heh).
