Nice! I thought I heard "tangled" but wasn't sure.

One thing i am completely stumped by is the "allowance" hate here... for me its one of the top songs without question.

For me I think a few of the songs, Allowance and AFAYC in particular, sound a bit muddy, possibly because of the rip. They just sound a bit confusing during the choruses for me. I imagine they'll get more love once we hear the official masters of those songs.

Ive listened to this album all the way through about 6 times now, and I still can't stop listening, I am in love. Jason Lader really brought out the best in this band I really hope they keep making music together for a long time. I cannot believe Raine could sing in burn burn like he did and then just do a complete 360 love the vocals, would have liked more falsetto but thats me knit picking. Favourites so far are: Allowance, Find our way, FITHH, if this is it. Love every song on the album wont listen to mettle by itself ever probably but what a great way to end the album.

From Hen House
I have no idea. It almost sounds like "A fame setting a nerve" or something.

Holy shit. Does Raine NOT curse on Curve?!
It's almost definitely 'hole'. He emphasizes the L sound. Which is kinda unsettling. Haha.

It's fresh, new and very intriguing, Burn Burn was tired and kind of flat, favourites for me so far are window seat, as fast as you can, rabbits, will someday change with Window Seat being my first and foremost favorite

pretty sure it's "comets" not "harmless". strange little bit in that song, can't figure out what it reminds me of... mamas and the papas or something?
Re: New Album in 2012 - "Curve" April 3rd
Well, nobody is talking about Grocery List anymore haha
I feel the same, that I probably wouldn't listen to Mettle on it's own, but I understand 100% why they put that song on this record, it ties the entire concept together so perfectly. That being said, how does a song like Grocery List NOT fit into the concept/feel of Curve? I think it would fit perfectly in with those other songs based on what we heard. Sure maybe it just didn't come together for whatever reason, but that would be my main complaint at this point...well, we await the bsides I guess.

Completely agreed. It just feels like home again. I definitely remember some darker times. It's also awesome how the streaming brought so many of us back. I never would have known if not for Raine's tweet.
I was (and still am) at work and nearly died. First thing I did was come here of course because I know that my CM family generally has me taken care of.
I'm going to listen to the album with my girlfriend (who typically can't sit through one full song of anything) tonight and I'm hoping Curve will help her realize how beautiful an album can be. An album that is intended to be an album and not a collection of singles/hits can never be beaten in my mind.
When I think of OLP, I have always thought of albums and not songs. That's something I have always loved about them.
Now with Curve, I am thinking even less about albums and more about the band and the journey.
(haha edited to remove my redundancy)

Every line I've crossed has come undone, everything I know is somehow wrong.

I love this

I was also on a chat site today, and some guys were asking why I was so excited. They had never heard of OLP and so I told them to youtube Heavyweight. They thought it was so cool! One of the guys was from London and when I mentioned the show there, he said that he really wanted to go, just based on listening to that song once!
The world is getting smaller, but the OLP family is getting larger...what a wonderful thought

i still wish "grocery list" was on the album, i think i'd swap it out for one of the weaker songs... hard to decide which one... probably "if this is it".
Re: New Album in 2012 - "Curve" April 3rd
Can someone link me with the Curve rip? I've heard it and live in Canada but it's annoying to stream.
Thanks!!! PLEASE!!!

It's so interesting to me how all the fans here are all over the place on this album. For me, This is It is the song I've had stuck in my head, I love that song.
I think one thing we can agree on is that this is the happiest they've ever sounded. I used to think of their music as a bit depressing and dark, particularly Clumsy, which is when I got into them as a teenager. I recently played Are You Sad? for my girlfriend and she said it was the most depressing thing she's heard in her life.

On Curve though you can feel the enthusiasm, the excitement and the joy just oozing out of each song, it's amazing.

It's official. Hen House wins. RIP The Wolf, I will still like you, but a little hen has taken your place.

Even then I'd still say the album has a fair bit of depressing emotions on it as well, but it's got more of a creepy/eerie type of sadness to it rather than angst. More unsettling than anything (in a good way).

Oops, KNIVES.
And yeah it's not all bright cheery happy. I think there's quite a bit of moody, dark stuff on here.
