Does anyone else think they're saying "anomaly" instead of Anna Molly?

At first I thought it was "I normally" hahaha
And then I couldnt figure out where the title had come from if they dont say the name in the song and later realized that I am an idiot. :D

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

He is saying "anamoly." It's one of those play on words or whatever you want to call it when it was spelled like a person's name... probably since he is singing about a person.

Ya Brandon Boyd has said in a few interviews that in the song he sings "anamoly." But because the song is about trying to find the perfect girl or something, it's called "Anna Molly."

Btw, I really wish they would've put the two b-sides on the actual album. If they were worried about length for some reason, they could've just taken off "Diamonds and Coal", which is an ok song and my least favorite song on the CD, and replaced it with the two b-sides.

Yah I know.

Those songs weren't my fave on each of those cd's.... and those record names weren't the original titles.

NOTE: Basically what I said was I changed my mind after LG, because that turned out to be my favourite song. Hence, AFTER Light Grenades :D

Yes, I always heard it that way. I even discussed this with Laurel the other night.

Also, congrats on being the only person on knowing how to spell anomaly.

Haha. I figured it was spelled "anamoly" because of the title of the song. He should've called it "Anno-Mally" so then people wouldn't get confused....

I knew how to spell it, but I think the song title screwed up my brain so I started thinking it was spelled with the a and o switched. Stupid Brandon Boyd...

you think Ana Molly is like the Where Are You of the album?

Where Are You was the least appealing song on HIPT.

Ana Molly is a great song. The whole cd is awesome. A cd I will actually buy... unlike a certain "greatest hits" .... *sigh*

the greatest hits dvd was a disappointed. they released less songs than Rogers television....

And agreed, Anna molly is a much stronger song than Where are you?.
