Which says something major about the band as songwriters.

They've had a couple of years off and having been working on a new record for the majority of it...I don't think that they haven't had a live show together in a year is much of an excuse.

If anything, I thought Where Are You would turn out best, since they just finished writing and recording it. It should have been fresh, especially if they just finished recording it "live off the floor".

Also, I seriously thought Raine screwed up the lyrics at the "where are you?" line of the chorus. The music and the vocals on that first line didn't synch up AT ALL. It sounded like he should have been singing something completely different.

But when it happened exactly the same way the second time around, I knew that was just the way the song was.

Did stunt doubles record and reherse for the last year or more?

   Ilove y our honesty ..

In OLP's defense, palying in studio and live is different.. the real test for me will be onthe 31st, unless they play a show before that. Only then will I judge them..

SIDE NOTE> ANGELS    and not the crappy Jessica Simpson version.

Plain and simple, it was BAD. I don't know what to chalk it up to. Maybe it was just a bad day, perhaps technical difficulties, the songs, or they just aren't the same band live. I know it's just one show but...wow.

First off I would like to say I didn't think it was that bad, you could see Raine tell his microphone wasn't working very good, he tried to fix it after the first song. Most of the problem was raine wasn't loud enough. The new single was awesome live, but Raine was just drowned out. I thought it was alot better live than the studio version.
I think Raine did hit a Falsetto's in Innocent, but because they're not loud, he got drowned out. I'm still looking forward to them at Magnetic Hill, I think they'll put on an awesome show. :wtf:

I sure hope they can improve because I got that same excited feeling when OLP was comming on stage....which promptly turned into disgust.

From what I saw, it sounded like technical stuff, not OLP stuff. But, I only caught the middle of innocent to the end.
I just wanna get out,

yeah i dont see the big deal. a cover, a song which doesnt sound easy to play live and innocent(a song which everyone seems determined to hate anyway). i thought they sounded ok for what they were playing but yeah everyone has a right to their own opinon i guess.

Yeah I know, I was like....'oh man it's gonna be awesome!'...then the smile slowly faded from my face. And by slowly I mean instantaniously once they started Where Are You.

The music didn't seem to sych up, I'm sure it'll get better with time. These guys ain't amateurs. I just wish it was a little better for a concert that may be broadcast internationally.

I like to come up for the Stones show cause it would be cheaper then seeing them inThe USA> I have to see cause Sept-Dec is all about U2. That is why I am going out to LA to see OLP.. I will give them the benefit of the doubt..

WOAH!

I'm watching The Who right now. They rock just as much, if not more, than they always did. They also sound extremely good. Damn, that was a kickass solo.
