does anyone know if these things are going to be televised?
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

AOL has a deal to show all of them online. They're working on getting television networks to broadcast it. I wouldn't be surprised to see CBC or Much buy the rights.

i bet they'll put it out on DVD like Live Aid. even though its gonna be expensive as hell seeing as its a shitload of shows going on at once...

But either way,,, who's playing this one?

and does anyone know how long of a set will be given to the bands? is it just like one song and then switch or what?

Go to the website to see who's playing where. I'm sure that set-time will depend on the band.

My guess is the bands playing earlier will get like 2 or 3 songs, then the bigger acts will get more, and there'll be special people joining other people on stage stuff going on, like at Live Aid.

I'm hoping people will rip the entire thing and share it in bittorrent form, cos I don't trust my computer to rip it all while I'm gone.

Yeah, maybe. They've been covering it an awful lot. But then again, who hasn't? I don't watch enough television to know.

At the Canadian show it's expected each band/artist will perform 2 or 3 songs according to a bunch of sources.

the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

It's as good as people expected it to be without The Rolling Stones.
