Didn't they have a cover band tour with them a few years back? Metallica played covers, and the cover band played all Metallica, or something? :wtf:

Yes. I was going to say that. We saw them tour for garage inc. they had a Metallica cover band open for them. We missed them, but saw Mettalica. By the same token at that show-Metallica only did cover songs. they didn't do any originals..

OH my that was a big ticket. It was a few days before Thanksgiving at Roseland Ballroom in NYC. I remeber tickets were $25., but people were getting a few hundred scalped. i was lucky. I got for me and my cousin from the box office. WOW that brings back memeories..

Woah, nice! Our Metallica tickets from October were $64.50 a piece with ticketmaster charges. :neutral: Not to mention they played a huge arena much much MUCH bigger than the Roseland. :drool:

And, that was an awesome idea to have a Metallica cover band open for them. Bet the guys in that band were like 8O when Metallica called. :lol:




Oh, and Jeni... what's wrong with their hair?!?!

... other than the fact that James slicks his back like a weirdo, Lars looks dumb with bleach blonde hair, and Kirk's losing his but still keeps it long anyway.....

:lol: I guess I just answered my own question. Robert's hair's cool, though. :lol:

Nikki,

that show was in 94 or somethng. I don't remember but it was awhile. i think that was the last time I saw Metallica play...

$64 is actually cheap for a show nowadays.. For an arena show... You are lucky if you can get inside an arena for under $50.. I actually can't beleive it was only $45..for INCUBUS at Madison Square Garden when I saw them in June..
