OK, I won't join the hub, so someone just tell me one thing. Does Raine at least use his falsetto? If he does, someone should send it to me, and if he doesn't, I don't give a flying fuck.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

As far as I can recall... no. No falsetto. :(
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

I must have missed that. Thanks!

edit: I've listened to it and uh... This sounds different, but not in a good way. Maybe I need to listen to it more. I don't know.

He doesn't use his falsetto in 4am or Naveed..........I guess you just don't give a flying fuck.....lol

My brother's name is spelled "Jonathan"...........most people incorrectly refer to him as "John" when its just "Jon"

I believe that "John" was a separate name from "Jonathan" or any other variation fo spelling, but they were always linked to each other improperly.

This song does nothing to spark interest for me in the band. It's sub-par at best. I'm with Rob on this one. Song by song my enjoyment of OLP decreases
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Matt, I'll break this down for you.

Raine hardly ever used falsetto on the entire Naveed album, and it was still good.

4AM is a beautiful song. Great subject, really sincere, lots of emotion involved in the vocals.

This is a song called Vampires that people here are saying is bad lyrically and reminds them of AFI. The only thing that could save a song that has such a bad aura around it would be the falsetto.

Therefore, I don't give a flying fuck about listening to the song.

AFI is better it just sounds like they are ripping off their lyrics.

I listened to this again. I am waiting to hear Amy Lee come in any minute when he starts singing "Can You Bring Me Back To Live". I start thinking of that Evanescence song.

You want to be God
But God is a gun
shiny and clean
it makes you believe
what are we really looking for

Say What?

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Glad to see I am not the only one.

now that i know what i'm without
you can't just leave me
breathe into me and make me real
bring me to life

wake me up inside
wake me up inside
call my name and save me from the dark
bid my blood to run
before i come undone
save me from the nothing i've become
bring me to life

Haha, Raine has been watching too much MTV2- Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, AFI, etc.

It doesn't sound anything like AFI. Just the ripped off line.

I just go by what I read on here. I only know 2 AFI songs- so I personally wouldn't know.

then again I think the opening guitar riff of No Warning is exactly like the opening riff of Offsprings- The Kids Aren't All Right.

Doesn't really matter. I still have to hear the whole song. I am not fond of how Raine sings the verse. As much as I love Raine it seems he has a harder time singing songs now. I don't think he is bad, it just seems like he struggles at times.

Okay, what i meant was the LYRICS were A.F.I Esque in a part, but it definetly sounds like OLP.

Yeah....I'm scared to listen to this.

hmm... the title sounds way too dark for OLP, but since i just heard of this for the first time right now, i have to check it out...

*a few minutes later*

I am impressed. Wow... I am so glad that this song doesn't suck. So, the new cd should be pretty good if it's like this. It's not fantastic, but it's good.
