I got it, they're pretty damn good live
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

"Hold on, hold on children, your mother and father are leaving, hold on, hold on children your best freind's parents are leaving, leaving,.......*AHHH*! " - Death From Above - Black History Month

I watched their dvd the other day and the dj solo on a certain shade of green is so awesome. It put a smile on my face because it was so good.

I thought I'd dig up this old thread because I saw some Incubus discussion in that other thread. Anyway, I haven't heard their new album yet because I'm waiting for it to hit stores in a couple days. It's getting mixed reactions so we'll see how I feel about it. I really liked crow and I love Anna Molly so I'm really looking forward to it.

I also just bought tickets to see them in Chicago in February on their small theater tour. It's going to be so awesome. Also, the band is going to be having this contest going on where they are giving fans some video footage of them performing the song "Dig" in front of a green screen and fans will have the chance to make their own "Dig" music videos and submit them. I think that's a really cool idea and I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome.

I've listened to the album a few times and it's good, but not growing on me as fast as most albums do that I say are really good. I still think Anna Molly's the best song...

I love the new album, to be honest I think Anna Molly is like the Where Are You of the cd... being it is a good song but the rest is just way more complex and unconventional. Mike said it is like 13 songs made by 13 different bands, I tend to agree, and I love it being a fan of Fungus Amungus and so on.

If you can tell me how Diamonds and Coal is more complex than Anna Molly, I'll send you a shiny new penny. How can this be their most complex album when most of the songs have the same tempo and the same sort of trite lyricism? Anna Molly isn't the best song on the album, but it is one of the few actual good songs. Pendulous Threads and the title track are really the only songs that hold a candle to the older stuff. The two b-sides/Japanese bonus tracks are better than most of the album as well.

I don't think I've heard the B-sides/bonus tracks, but I wouldn't agree that Anna Molly is like Where Are You since Anna Molly is actually good.

I'm pretty impressed with Light Grenades.

It's for sure better than ACLOTM i really like that album as well but this one is better to me.
Although i miss their old sound like Fungus Amongus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E but this new record is pretty good. I was upset when they had a song LIGHT GRENADES on the record. dont know why. I hate when bands have a song named after the record... to me that lacks creativity.
But Light Grenades turned out to be my fave song... and soon after changed my mind about the lack of creativity.

Make Yourself? A Crow Left of the Murder? Those were both song titles, too, so it's not like it's the first time the band has done it.
